The Plantation Orchid Society was started in 1968 and the first president of the society was William Snyder.  The purpose of the society is to educate the members on the growing and culture of orchids and to share in the love of this hobby.

We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm. at the Plantation Presbyterian Church.

The Plantation Presbyterian Church is located at 901 NW 70th Avenue. Coming from Broward Blvd. go north on NW 70th Avenue till you cross the stop light at Plantation Road (NW 8th Street). Continue about one half block and the church is the first driveway on the left hand side--directly across from the Peter's Elementary School. Coming from University turn east at the NW 5th Street light (by the church with the fountain). Proceed to the light at NW 70th Avenue and turn left. It's the first driveway about one half block up on the left. There is plenty of lighted parking in the church lot. Go to the rear of the church area past the lighted patio area. The fellowship hall is the long building in the rear.

Each month we have a speaker that will give an educational lecture on orchids with questions/answers afterwards. Additionally, we send out a newsletter to all members to keep every one informed of the societies functions.

If anyone would like more information on Plantation Orchid Society they may call Karen Reynoldson at (954) 792-1195.
